- Moisturize Daily: Thick moisturizers will help retain and seal moisture within your skin. The thicker, the better!
- Stick to Hydrating Cleansers: Avoid harsh facial cleansers that could be stripping the skin of natural moisture. Use gentle, hydrating daily cleansers.
- Limit Hot Showers: Winter weather brings the desire for long hot showers, but hot water can further dry skin. On average, limit showers to 10-15 minutes and use lukewarm water to avoid irritation.
- Avoid Harsh Over Exfoliation: Loofahs, mitts, and scrubs can irritate dry skin and lead to eczema flares. Use your hands to wash your body!
